Asthma

I’ve been drinking Aloe Berry Nectar now for six years and it has changed my life in a really big way. Burns

In January 1997 our two-year-old daughter caught fire from an open gas flame.

The burns were extensive, covering 14 per cent of her body - mainly the inside both legs, thighs and stomach. We were taken by ambulance to Hospital where she was assessed and sent to the special burns unit.

The treatment for full thickness burns at that time was to prick the large blisters which had quickly formed, give her morphine, antibiotics and put her on a saline drip. The skin was left exposed and she was placed in an isolation room for several days under a large drying unit, which beamed hot air over the skin.

Finally after several days her burns were covered and bandaged and the process of healing began.  Having been a family that ate a whole food, mainly organic diet, with strong belief in homeopathic and herbal remedies, I was horrified to see the amount of drugs which were required to sedate her and keep her free from infection, to say nothing of the blood packs which she required each time a new skin graft was performed.

The consultants and staff would not let us apply anything topically to aid the healing process, so I began to make phone calls to contacts in the natural health field.

Several mentioned Aloe Vera Gel, something she could drink rather than apply.
We obtained some and began to add the gel to our daughter's drinks, two or three times a day.

We then had a period of some six weeks where the burn sites were dressed and bandaged, the outer bandages being changed every couple of days. We continued with the gel.

At the end of this time we were told that our daughter would probably need to be sedated with Ketamine to make removal of the complete dressing feasible.

The Sites would be very sore, sticky and extremely painful. The innermost dressing would have adhered to the sticky exudates and be very difficult to remove. We prepared ourselves for the worst. As a family who had never even used Calpol before this event, I was loath to allow the doctors to administer Ketamine.

The outer bandages were removed and as my daughter stood up to buck away from this latest intrusion to her body, the inner bandages slipped down her legs revealing dry, pink smooth scar tissue. There was very little pain.

The atmosphere in that room was amazing.

The registrar was called, followed by the consultant, then another consultant. No one could believe that my daughter’s third degree burns followed by numerous skin grafts could have healed so quickly. 'How have you done this?' we were asked incredulously.
Of course we were still shocked at the fact that our daughter was scarred, being involved with a burns patient is a slow dawning of realisation that this is something that we will live with forever, but I have to say that we were delighted with the reaction from the staff. 'Aloe Vera Juice!' I said.

The looks that passed between the nurses spoke volumes. 'No seriously' I said. 'We have been giving her 2 or 3flozs every day. Now the bandages are off, can we put it on her skin too?'

Normally at this stage the burn site would be redressed and re-bandaged, for a further look in 2 weeks time. but we were able to leave the site uncovered, and start topical application immediately.

5 years on, we still apply Aloe Vera gelly.   The juice is now drunk by all of us. We are rarely ill, and compared to other children my daughters have only had one day off each from school.

Chemotherapy/Radiotherapy

Cancer is caused by a combination of a number of triggers and the body's immune system failure to cope.

The rich antioxidant properties in drinking Aloe helped to rebuild my immune system during and after the treatments which because of their high toxicity tend to make people weak and open to all types of infections (e.g. Mouth ulcers to influenza etc.).

I suffered, as a result of drinking the gel, no illnesses during six months of treatment. I used the skin gel during radiation treatment and found it very cooling and soothing.

I now need to maintain a high level of health and my immune system needs to be working at peak performance so I continue to drink the gel every day. Colitis

I  turned to Aloe Vera after suffering for several years with Colitis.  The 40-year-old father of one began to experience problems when the stress of running his own business began to take it’s toll.

I was away from home for more than four months of the year.  On top of that there was an awful lot of corporate hospitality, usually involving very rich food.

I was meant to be a professional host, but sometimes I would end up lying in the back of the bus doubled up in pain while my clients went off to dinner.

I have suffered from Crohn’s Disease for most of my life. After two resection operations I was offered early retirement from my teaching career, which I took. Knee Injury

I am a Norwegian medical doctor who became interested in herbal medicine in the early 1970s. Although the tradition of using herbs in medicine had rapidly waned after the second World War, my interest could well have had genetic and cultural roots.
Coming from a country where doctors were scarce and with no seat of medical education until the late 1900s, medical care was mainly for the few affluent city dwellers.

Along Norway's vast, fjord-slashed coastline, herbs and natural remedies were the mainstay of healthcare and my parents always used herbal remedies and poultices to counteract disease and infections.

Even if I had spent my time poring over the few herbals left by local healers, I concluded that much of the old knowledge had vanished and if we were to rediscover the healing power of herbs, we would have to do it in a new way - but how? I gathered all the types of herbs I saw mentioned and tried them out on the 'many suffering people' that came my way.

Very soon, I had a practice in natural medicine as a supplement to my medical studies. However, I soon found that my cloth bags with dried herbs were impractical and largely incompatible with the modern lifestyle that quickly developed as Norway's rich oil resources were discovered and Norwegians' aspirations and expectations quickly grew.

In a few years, Norway changed from being a fairly backward and simple country (by European standards) to one where the pace of life was like any other modern, developed economy.

My patients wanted fast, clean, modern and easy to understand solutions and treatments and had no time for messy and complex herbal remedies and poultices. Very soon the first of the 'ubiquitous' health shops were established and people started buying their natural supplements in boxes.

Although books and articles extolling the benefits of plants, minerals and vitamins abounded by the eighties, I personally found it difficult to determine which patients would benefit from what as the list of so-called 'miracle herbs' expanded.

My personal experience with a knee injury I sustained whilst playing sport a few years ago, prompted me to look closer at the benefits and potential medical uses of aloe vera.

The injury was complicated and I was unable to walk. As I braced myself for a lengthy and inconvenient convalescence, I was lent a proprietary brand of aloe vera spray – called Aloe First Spray.

I was absolutely astounded at the rapid effect and especially the speed of the wound healing - I could almost see the wound grow and heal. This spurred me to conduct more investigations and research and I would now dare anyone to point to a plant with a longer history of documented medical benefits than aloe vera.

Psoriasis

July 2002,  I suffered from psoriasis for years on my hands, knees and elbows.  Conventional remedies couldn't help me and made the condition worse.  I couldn't wear shorts or short sleeved shirts.

I have been taking Aloe Vera for three years now. I was introduced to Aloe by a friend who noticed I was struggling when I got out of a chair. I told a friend I also could not sleep with the pain in my leg, during the night.

She gave me her distributors telephone number.  She explained which Aloe I would need - Forever Freedom - and I started to take it. At first I took a small amount and over the course of weeks and months gradually built the intake up to 120mls. Rheumatoid Arthritis

In January 1983 I was diagnosed as suffering with Rheumatoid Arthritis and Psoriasis. By the July I was very ill, as the Arthritis had attacked my entire body. By this time I was almost crippled, in very severe pain and in and out of hospital. For the next four years I was very unwell but in 1987 it subsided, I went into remission and I stayed in quite good health apart from the odd joint being painful.

In November of 1992 it hit me again but this time with a real vengeance and I was admitted to hospital immediately after a visit to my GP. My ankles were like balloons, my left shoulder was frozen because of extreme pain and it even attacked my jawbone, but the most painful of all the joints were my hands and feet. Today both my hands and feet are very disfigured.

Sensitive Skin

I have very sensitive skin and, because of this, I had difficulty finding a range of skincare products that I could use without causing irritation.

Septic arthritis

June 2002 Following Septic arthritis as a child I was left crippled with a deformed, painful right hip and shortened leg. The initial J" shortage increased by 1/2" each decade to a current 3 1/2". Limited cycling and walking in my teens and early twenties ceased or declined with age. Nevertheless I enjoyed a long, happy marriage with my late wife and a good career in architecture.

RABBIT ON ALOE VERA GEL DRINK !

We first noticed a deterioration in our rabbits general wellbeing in the Summertime when he reached the grand old age of six years plus. Suddenly he was not able to leap onto the furniture as usual.  He could not get his hind legs up and onto the sofa. He would hang on with his front paws and struggle.

It was then we decided to use the ‘Aloe treatment’.  We started sprinkling about 10/15mls on his evening meal.  At this point he had lost a lot of weight – 800g, his usual weight being 1kg.
